Lent Devotion for March 31

Reflecting on Romans 8: 28-39

These verses are some of the most comforting verses in the Bible.  They are like God’s love letter to us. They show us God’s character, his awesome love, and scream to us that God is for us! What a blessing and reassurance to know that God is for us and He wants us to be with Him!

God wants to offer every person the opportunity to be in relationship with him. He loved us so much that he sent his Son as a gift to rescue us and gives us the choice and the privilege to accept this gift. A gift not dependent on our performance but on His sacrifice. When we make that choice by faith, He then equips us to live the Christian life, gives us the Holy Spirit to dwell in us, to intercede for us, to guide us, and to strengthen us. Such a tremendous love gives us strength and confidence to face every challenge in life

God will use all of our life- even our mistakes, failures and difficulties — for good, to bring us more and more into the image of Christ. When we trust God to take care of us, before we ever see the problem, we already have won. Knowing God is with us and for us, that the Holy Spirit strengthens us in our weakness, and that God loves us all the time, we are more than conquerors!

We can be assured that if God is for us, nothing can be against us. Nothing will ever separate us from God’s love. NOTHING can separate us from the love of Christ!

Knowing that God loves you this much, does this make you think about others and yourself differently?
Can anything separate us from the love God has for us?
