Who is the event for: The Out of Darkness walk benefits The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention  

Who can take part: those looking to raise funds and awareness about mental illness and suicide prevention.    

When time and date: October 8, 2016, Registration @ 9am, Walk begins @ 10am.

Location(s): Bakers Park, Frederick, MD.

Basic description: A community walk to raise awareness of and break the stigma of suicide and mental illness. There is no participation fee, but many participants are fundraising to support research on mental illnesses and support families who have lost loved ones to suicide or those who are suffering from a mental illness. What is expected of (what to wear, bring…) Wear comfortable clothing for a casual walk (sneakers, t-shirt, water bottle.) and for the weather that morning.The walk is several miles long, so families can bring infants and toddlers in strollers or holsters.
