We have an opportunity to partner with New Hope UMC to go on a weekend mission trip to DC to learn about homelessness and participate in a feeding program. I have attached some information. But please let me know if you might be interested in being a part of the trip as we will need to begin moving on it soon.
Here are the materials shared with me from CSM DC for a mission trip. Registration must be made 45 days in advance of trip start date. The sample schedule includes a Friday but we are not doing a Friday, so some of the activities would be pushed to Saturday. Lodgings and all food are included- we would stay at a building connected to a Methodist Church in DC (I believed Douglas Memorial UMC).
Students must be 12 years old or older.
The Cost will be $70 per student.
We would like to know of interest by April 1.
