Reflecting on John 12: 20 – 26
This passage reminds me of plants and family. In the fall, plants die but because of the seeds they leave, we enjoy more plants in the spring. We enjoy beautiful flowers in the spring. The flowers die but because of the seeds that they leave, many more flowers will bloom.
To me, this is also true when we experience the death of a family member. The experience of the physical death is hard. We have to remind ourselves of the seeds that this family member left. Because of these seeds, the legacy of the family continues to grow. We have special memories that can be remembered and cherished for years to come.
Jesus tells us the same thing. If we love our life and follow Him, we must experience this physical death in order to spend eternity with Him.
It is truly amazing to me how one single seed can produce many seeds.
How many “seeds” in your lifetime will you produce?
