Reflecting on Titus 2:1-15
Paul’s message to Titus is about the importance of teaching by example.
The youth of today, as well as new believers and old believers in Jesus Christ, follow the examples of those in their lives. They look to see how we behave according to how we say we should.
I was raised in the church by my mother and grandmother. At 19, I married and stopped going to church. I did not give my children a good example to follow. At 38, in the midst of a divorce, I looked out the patio door of my apartment and asked Jesus to come back into my life.
I have tried since that time to be a better example to anyone God puts before me. I try to wear my cross every day for 3 reasons.
Teaching all people how to be Godly
To show that I am a child of the Most High God.
To show that I am a believer in my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
To do my best not to embarrass Christ by my actions to others – to lead by example.
How can we all be better examples?
