Job Description:care for children prior to and during Sunday church services, with additional hours available upon occasion.

Qualifications

Desired Qualifications

• Certified daycare worker.
• Have experience working in some form of daycare facility.

Duties

1. Arrive to place of worship 30 minutes prior to start of service to set up room and prepare to receive children. Stay after service of worship to make sure children are back with parents and to clean up the room.
2. Provide childcare for infants and toddlers during worship service.
3. Keep track and obtain needed supplies (diapers, snacks, etc.) Maintain nursery cleanliness by wiping down all used toys with disinfectant wipes after every use.   Sanitizing all toys, mats, etc. two times a year using a bleach bath solution.
4. Set up materials and guide children through pre-planned activities designed for those children able to participate.
5. Participate in all Children’s Ministry discussion groups/training that assists in improving the learning and working environment, as well as provide feedback about the planned activities.
6. Discuss with Director and/or Assistant Director of Children’s Ministry, any concerns about children when necessary.

1. Be willing to assist with FaithPoint during the 9:30-11:30 Sunday morning time frame in additional ways if the nursery attendance is low (assist with children in Sunday School or provide assistance in simple office tasks such as stapling and folding)
2. Communicate with the parents of the children about the time spent in the nursery.
