Helping homeless children have sweeter dreams …
homeless children who need our childhood essentials to feel secure, cozy, ready to learn, and
significant. Each Night Night Package contains a new security blanket, an age-appropriate
children’s book, and a stuffed animal — all nestled inside of a new canvas tote bag. By providing
objects of reliable comfort, Project Night Night reduces trauma and advances the emotional and
cognitive well-being of the children we serve.Every child who receives one of our Night Night Packages leaves the shelter owning a book which
encourages reading and family bonding, a security blanket which can be cuddled, and a stuffed
animal which can become a cherished friend. We have one objective – to deliver our Night Night
Packages to every homeless child in the country who needs one.Project Night Night is a tax exempt charitable organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal
Revenue Service code. We work with over 10,000 volunteers each year, and we are the leading
provider of nighttime comforts for homeless children.
How Faithpoint is helping
For the past few years Faithpoint has been participating in this vital ministry and Project night Night bags have gone to local shelters and organizations like Hope Alive, The Hartley House and others. Each year we have a better and better response. Think about the special things that you or your kids carry with them or go to bed with. These stuffed animals, “blankies” and other very special things give comfort to little ones.
You are invited to donate new or like new books or stuffed animals. Here are some things to remember:
General:
—Blankets should be NEW or newly handmade. We appreciate quilted, fleece, knit,
crocheted, “no-sew,” and store-bought blankets. The ideal size is 50″ x 60″ or smaller.
— Books appropriate for ages 0 to pre-teen.
— Stuffed Animals smaller than 18 inches. Stuffed animals must be new or like-new.
Tips:
– “Like New” means top quality and “nice enough to give as a gift.”
– No Beanie Babies.
– No books or stuffed animals with battery compartments.
– No stuffed animals that make noises — such as singing, reciting prayers, etc.
– No religious, commemorative or holiday stuffed animals or books.
– No stuffed animals over 10 years old (no “collections”) for dust/sanitary reasons.
– We do NOT accept items that have been recalled, banned, or do not meet safety standards.
